Ballard’s Street Name Legacy

State_croppedWe’re looking forward to hearing about artist Benson Shaw’s work to preserve the blue-and-white street name tiles you see embedded in Ballard’s streets. The public and BHS members are invited to join us Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Community Association. Shaw specializes in public art and historic restoration. How did Ballard go from earth paths to wood planks to cement streets? Learn more about the blue marker tiles that harken back to Ballard’s older street names. Benson’s work is sponsored by 4Culture Preservation Special Projects. Learn more about Benson Shaw. The presentation is preceded by a 10-minute annual meeting in which members hear an annual update and vote on trustee positions.
