Volunteer for Historic Mapping Project

We shared the first details of BHS' Historic Mapping Project with a public meeting in November. Held at the community space Ballard Homestead, the evening included live jazz music, refreshments and an introduction to the project's scope and goals. Now we're ready to train volunteers to inventory old buildings in Ballard. Are you or a friend interested in finding out more about architecture in a Seattle neighborhood? Two training events in January 2016 will provide the knowledge and skills for this special Historic Resource Inventory effort, which will become a dynamic interactive map by May 2016. The project is part of a Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Small and Simple grant. Choose from one of two sessions: Sunday, January 24, 2016 (1-4) OR Wednesday, January 27, 2016 (6:00-9:00) Register or learn more: Peggy Studivant, peggysturdivant@gmail.com Join the fun at BHS Facebook page...
